গ্রাম পুলিশের দায়িত্ব

 Every member of the Village Police, by whatever name or title he may be addressed, shall exercise the powers and perform the duties set out in Part 2 of Schedule-I to the Local Government (Union Council) Ordinance, 1983. The duties of the village police are as follows : (1) The Union Parishad shall patrol day and night, (2) Assist the Chairman and the Union Parishad in official work, (3) The Union shall observe the movements of bad people and inform the officer-in-charge of the police station, (4) Any riot- If there is a riot or a riot, take it to the police station. (5) Providing local information for government work, (6) Informing the Union Parishad about births and deaths, (7) Assisting in the collection and collection of rent or land development tax, fees or other dues, (8) Union Parishad or the Union Parishad. In case of damage to any fixed or immovable property, the trustee provides prevention and obstruction, (9) In case of any obstruction or damage to irrigation, immediately informs the Union Parishad in this regard, besides (10) The Village Police may arrest without the order of the Magistrate and warrant or warrant of arrest in the following cases. (a) When a house-breaking instrument is found in the possession of any person without lawful cause. (b) any person in whose possession any such article or goods has reasonable grounds for suspecting them to be stolen goods, or on seeing such goods is reasonably suspected of being involved in the commission of an offence. (c) If any person escapes or attempts to escape from lawful custody or supervision. (d) any person obstructing any Government servant in the discharge of his official duties. (e) any person reasonably suspected to be a deserter of the Bangladesh Army, Navy or Air Force.
Also village police performs some important duties. For example: guarding the body of the murderer and reaching the police station, accompanying them in the police area, government high-level officials are always helping, they are obliged to work according to the orders of the chairman and members by issuing notices of Kot cases, the village police are currently the police of the police station and the union council. Works under joint control.
